Curated No.1

September 30, 2018

curated - weekly favoritesForeword:

When I first started outlining the topics and potential posts for this blog almost 2 years ago, a regular curated-type favorites series was at the top of my list. I really love curated content if done right. I love discovering new things, reads, finds and if someone filters out the best content for me – great.

However, my very first attempt (monthly favorites) quickly went down the drain. I simply got bored and didn’t enjoy writing it. The This + That series was supposed to fill its place at first, but then it became a different kind of post where I could share quick life updates and lifestyle ramblings.

This Curated series is my latest try (and probably last). Expect a totally random list of things that caught my eye for some reason or gave me joy and value, from products, fashion, interior, and design finds to articles, shows, books, podcast episodes, and ideas. I’m not making any promises regarding the frequency, I aim for biweekly posts, more if there are lots of awesome finds, less if nothing really captured me – quality will be the ultimate deciding factor.

Hope you’ll enjoy them.

Curated No.1 will be a special episode.

I want to give credit to all those awesome content creators who have taught, informed, and inspired me with their curated posts over the last few years. Each and every one of them puts a lot of time and effort into these posts and I always gain a lot of value from them.

Read and subscribe, you won’t be sorry.

I love Half Baked Harvest’s weekly nine favorite things because she shares a variety of interesting finds, links, a great selection of seasonal recipes, and also infuses personal stories and thoughts into her weekly roundups.

Gabby Lord’s weekly OMGLORD newsletter is a cult favorite in the creative industry. She shares thoughts on design, creativity, interesting links, finds, and incredibly useful resources. Subscribe and don’t forget to go through the archives.

I’m a faithful reader of the Week Notes: Inspiring links series by A Considered Life as most of the topics covered are dear to my heart. Sophie really has an eye for finding the most inspiring and interesting reads on a variety of topics, including minimalism, simple living, slow living, vegan lifestyle, sustainability, and personal growth.

Because I’m Addicted is one of my favorite wellness blogs out there and her Things I’m loving monthly roundup series are full of cool beauty, fashion, food, lifestyle, and wellness finds.

My week in objects by Reading My Tea Leaves is such a cool concept. Each week Erin shares photos of the five little things that made her week. I equally love the cool products she features as well as the seemingly mundane, small things and details she draws attention to. She also shares a couple of interesting links and reads at the end of each post.

5-bullet Friday is a newsletter by Tim Ferris sharing the five coolest things he found, read, used, or enjoyed that week. There are no fix features, and some of the things he recommends are truly random and great finds.

The Financial Diet has 2 weekly roundups I frequently read: The 7 Personal Finance Articles We Loved This Week is a collaboration with Rockstar Finance and shares cool new personal finance blog posts. The 10 Things You Need To Read This Sunday is a varied roundup of articles on social, cultural, and lifestyle topics.

Allan Torp’s Bungalow 5 is a great blog for everyone who loves Scandinavian design, interiors, and lifestyle and every Sunday he shares the most interesting products, reads, and links he spotted that week.
